The brass pub sign features a maker's mark, "Nauticalia," on its reverse side, confirming its authenticity. Nauticalia originated as a floating antique shop in 1974 and began producing replica nautical products in the late 1970s.
Based on stylistic and material analysis, this sign is likely from the late 1970s, aligning with Nauticalia's early production phase. The presence of paint traces suggests prior use, indicating it functioned as an actual pub sign.
